The Basque city of Bilbao is located in northern Spain, stretching 14 km along the narrow valley of the river Nervión, south of the Bay of Biscay, where the estuary of Bilbao is formed. Bilbao is the capital of Bizkaia province in the autonomous community of the Basque Country.
