ETROPOLE - Bulgaria » Etropole is located at the foot of the northern slopes of the Balkan Range, on the banks of the Malki Iskar River. The town is situated 25 km southeast of Botevgrad, 27 km northwest of Zlatitsa, 28 km south of Yablanitsa, 43 km southwest of Teteven, 85 km northeast of Sofia and 13 km from Pravets. The main attractions of the town are the old houses preserved from the revival period, the historical museum, the Jewish tower from 14th century, St Archangel Michail Church with its famous walnut wood-carved iconostasis and St George Church. St Trinity Monastery is 4 km to the east, above the village of Ribaritsa.
