
Melnik is the smallest settlement in Bulgaria pronounced for town. It is situated near the Melnik pyramids natural phenomena in the foots of south Pirin Mountains. Logistically Melnik is 23 km southeast from Sandanski and 185 km southwest from Sofia. A true museum town, Melnik has been declared architectural preserve. the most popular houses worth to visit are Boyar house, Kordopoulov house (1754 - wine tasting), Pashova house (1840). Melnik is famous for its wine growing and the Melnik Elexir know in the middle ages as far as Vienna, Genoa, Venice.
