The traditional ‘Forest Week' starts on Monday, April 7 and will continue until April 13. The 83^rd edition of the week is under the motto ‘Plant a tree, give hope'.
Accent this year will be the meeting of the UN's Commission for Mediterranean collaboration on forest issues.
For first time the Forest week has been celebrated in 1925, when by the initiative of local Forestry Association the so called ‘afforest celebration' took place.
By then till nowadays in each first week of April the Bulgarians have the possibility to participate in the honorary act.
