Public discussion of the project of declaring ‘Central Balkan' park for part of ecologic net for protection 'NATURA 2000' will be conducted today.
Crew from the park direction will introduce to the participants the new restrictions and the preserved species in the zone, previewed in the project.
The meeting - discussion will be attended by interested in pronouncing of the national park ‘Central Balkan' for protected area persons.
‘Central Balkan' is one of the biggest European national parks. It was pronounced for national park in 1991 to preserve in mankind's favor the unique nature of Middle Stara Planina and located with the mountain traditions and crafts.
The park's surface is round 716 square meters. It takes the highest parts of the mountain, as its length is round 85 kilometers and the width - round 10 kilometers.
In this part of Stara Planina erects the highest peak of the mountain - Botev peak (2376).
Forests cover 61% of the national park, high mountain pastures and meadows take the rest parts.
