Review by: Wallis Manchester Review posted: Aug, 03, 2004   sunny The hotel Palace (Palas) was far better than I expected, the food was okay but there was always something to eat the hotel is absolutley spotless. However take a rubber sink plug as not a room in the hotel had a sink plug the staff were perfect always smiling and very helpful the resort of Sunny Beach has a beautiful beach as described. there is little to do in the resort apart from look round the market and shops and stroll on the prom. The town in Nesseber is a must, loads of shops quite scenic and very very cheap. DO NOT GO TO BOURGES it is a dump full of beggers communist tower block flats and taxi drivers that could worry a statue I was advised not to go before I went to Bulgaria and did not listern BOURGAS really is the pits. A pint of really good lager in the Palace costs 1 lev 50 (60p), the hotel and the resort are excellent value but I felt a week was enough but I will return in the future.
