Review by: Hazel Todd Review posted: Aug, 19, 2007   I booked this holiday for a party of 10 and another 2 friends booked to go at the same time. We had read lots of comments on the holiday but went with an optimistic attitude as most of the reviews were negative. We were in the roughest part of the hotel and the rooms were small and in desperate need of decorating. The balconies were cracking, the wooden railings dropping off and chicken wire across for safety. There was only room for two plastic chairs on the balcony. It was unpleasant to lean on the metal railings as the paint was cracking. We would have asked for an upgrade but realised the party would have been split up over the hotel and we all wanted to stay together. The view from our balcony was trees obviously to shield the view of the main road. I paid for a fan for the two weeks and the fist came to pieces, the second just stopped and the base was loose on the third. The pool was very good - a last a positive point. The staff varied, most didn't understand English except the time we all met on the second floor landing to play cards and a lady complained about the time - loudly slamming her door and making much more noise than we were! After this her husband brought a member of staff to move us on and the next day three notices appeared about respecting others and not making a noise between 10pm and 8am. All these notices were in English only so we knew they were directed at us! The other time we found somewhere to get together it was in the outside part of the restaurant and the staff put the lights out on us with no warning and walked off - very friendly! The rest of Sunny Beach was wonderful, it was the second time I had been and yes I would go again but certainly not to the Continental! Write a comment View Continental Hotel

Review by: Ken Review posted: Aug, 29, 2003   We were not looking forward to our holiday with it being on holidays from hell, however we really enjoyed every minute we were there including the children and we would all go back in a shot. The beach was lovely and clean including the sea, we have had holidays abroad before but sunny beach has the best beach we have been on and this is from a beach lover, plus the weather was gorgeous.
