PROS: I have just stayed at the hotel for a week with my friend, and we loved it.. Actually i just arived in denmark for a few hours ago.. the staff at the hotel is the greatest, in particular the bartender Krasi, he is so sweet.. All who stay at the hotel or work there are so sweet.. everyone wants to talk and have some fun.. If you ever go to the hotel you have to ask for Krasi and "the magic man".. :) the magic man is an old guy from England, he is so funny, and sweet, and he does all these tricks, it is very funny..I would return at any time.. i could stay there for ever.. actually i think i return at the hotel to september, or maybe i'll wait until october, but then the magic man is just left, and i would like to see him.. :) Hope you visit the hotel, it is a experience for life.. :)

PROS: This was our first time to Bulgaria, we had booked a year in advance and were all looking forward to the unexpected. However 2 weeks before we were due to go the holiday programme package holiday's uncovered was aired only to feature the Vashava in Golden Sands, our hotel. It was dire and we agreed that there was no way we wanted to go there, so a trip to the travel agents ensued and instead were transferred to the Koral in St. Konstantin. How absolutely lovely, we could not believe that this was our hotel but sure enough it was, I cannot believe that knowone has left a review of it. It is a 3 star plus with some 2 star rooms at the back which we were in. Very basic but really clean, maid service every day and clean towels every 3rd day, there is a 24 hour bar ( lethal!), reception and money exchange desk, it also has a fabulous restaurant, it has been refurbished last year. The gardens are continuously watered, the pool is clean and lit up at night, and there is a lifeguard. Not a lot of British there though, I think there was 4 families including us when we went, predominantly Germans, some Romanians and Russian. We did find that we were stared at a lot, maybe because we were 2 single mothers with the children i dont know but we are champing at the bit to return next year but in 3 star acommodation this time. Having read about St. Konstantin on this very sight before I went we did visit Figaro's as someone else had suggested and foud it to be ok, I would recommend the Italian restaurant " Belinas" as the food is really nice. The one place I would definately advise not to go to is the Indian "Delhi" I think it was called just past the Grand Varna the curry all tastes the same regardless of what you order and the chicken we had was still very pink in the middle. The market is very good and I bought my 2 skateboarding lads a hooded sweatshirt there, here they would have been about £50 each in a good skateboard shop, i paid £ 14. We did go on the Danube trip and is well worth it but it is a long day starting at 8.30 in the morning , we did not get back to the hotel till 8.00 that night. Cost? I think it was £58 for me and my 2 boys. All in all very good. I cant recommend this hotel enough we were pleasently shocked at how nice a 3 star could be out there and is well worth a visit. As a final note when we stayed there, there seemed to be a lot of ear ache and ear infection about, my friend had to take her 8 year old to see a doctor as he had an ear infection in both ears, we did not realise that some antibiotics and ear drops would set us back £70, and that we had gone private,( language barrier problems) if you need to see a doctor while you are there then go to the one at the Grand Varna, some other people we met out there did and only paid £24 so be careful.
