IVAYLOVGRAD - Bulgaria » The town of Ivaylovgrad is situated in the southeastern part of Bulgaria, in the eastern part of the Rhodope mountain. It is 110 km from Haskovo, 80 km from Svilengrad and 60 km from Lyubimets, bordering with Greece to the east. The area is rich in water resources - the Ivaylovgrad Lake and the Arda River. Sights of interests around the town are the Roman villa Armira from 2nd-3rd century, the medieval fortress Lyutitsa, Aretenski Bridge from the 16th century, ancient Thracian remains and churches from the 19 century.
