PANCHAREVO » The village of Pancharevo is situated 12 km southeast of Sofia, at the foothills of the Vitosha mountain. It is famous for the Pancharevo Lake (5 km long and 1 km wide) which offers excellent conditions for rest and recreation away from the noise of the capital, water sports like swimming, water skiing, rowing, surfing, as well as fishing and sunbathing. There are many restaurants and taverns around the lake.
