Gyueshevo is the most important of the three border checkpoints between Bulgaria and Macedonia. The international road E871 passes through Gyueshevo border checkpoint, connecting Kyustendil with Kriva Palanka in Macedonia. In Gueshevo there is a railway station, which is the last stop of the railway from Sofia and is intended to link the two capitals - Sofia and Skopje, but the Macedonian section of the line has not been built.
