Broker companies are cheating to investors and buyers of real estates in Bansko resort.
This was announced after Britain Ambassador to Bulgaria Steve Williams visited the resort town in Pirin mountain. The diplomat met Bansko's mayor Aleksander Kravarov and the chairperson of the municipality council Georgy Ikonomov. Ambassador Williams was accompanied by Denise Baker - vice consul to Bulgaria and Kristina Sayuniva - assistant consultative on questions. The meeting was in relation with the tourism industry in the ski resort.
By this moment 2,231 apartments are British property, 465 of which are registered for tourism activity.By the time of the gathering were discussed a couple of issues that appeared between broker firms and the local municipality. Many brokers speculate with the investment intentions of the town-hall. The brokers mislead the investors, announcing for definite areas where will be build airports, golf playgrounds and others. The lied persons should hold the brokers responsible for that. Another thing is that no one explains to the Britons the way of accepting the estates. The necessary document is called Act 16, while many of the foreign receive Act 14 instead.
The firms also speculate with planting, canalization and electrification round the properties, saying that all this is municipality obligation, while indeed is investors' duty.
