Velingrad lies in the beautiful Chepino valley in the Western Rhodope mountains, 120 km southeast of Sofia, 86 km from Plovdiv and 49 km from Pazardjik. Velingrad is renowned for its 80 curative mineral springs because of which it is called the spa capital of Bulgaria. Understandably, the greatest part of Velingrad’s popularity comes from its multiple and various hot mineral water springs, unique in their mineral content and the newly developed spa hotel complexes, catering for all tourists’ needs. The nearest airport to Veligrad is Plovdiv airport, from which our transfer service will take you along route 8, pass by Pazardjik and Zvanichevo, turning left on route 84 to Velingrad. From the capital Sofia and its airport to the spa town, the transfer takes approximately 2 hours along E80 and route 8, turning right on route 8402 and again turning right on route 84 to Velingrad.
