Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (SAW) is situated 15 km north of Pendik on the Asian side of the Bosphorus, 43 East of the European centre of Istanbul and about 33 km from the Anatolian side of Istanbul - the Kadikoy district. Sabiha Gokcen airport serves mainly low-cost charter flights. The transport between Sabiha Gokcen airport and Istanbul is via E-6 express highway and by city bus, airport shuttle busses, taxi, and private transfers. The airport has 2 terminals at 5 minutes walking distance from each other. There is a parking lot in front of the airport. Sabiha Gokcen has 2 information desks - one at each terminal - International and Domestic. Airport facilities also include business centre, ATMs, a bank, postal office, public telephones, restaurants, bars and cafés, duty-free shops, mini market. Wheelchairs and trolleys are available free of charge and there is a baby/child changing room at the international terminal.
