My brother and I booked 2 BMW-bikes for a trip in Portugal. The Motoroads team answered all my question before we started from home. Sultanahmet is the oldest part of Istanbul and the location of most of its historical sights. This World Heritage-listed district is the heart of historic Old Istanbul, filled with such a magical atmosphere and crammed with historic buildings, such as Aya Sofya - a museum-church-mosque all in one, the Blue Mosque, the Byzantine Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, or the underground world of the Basilica Cistern and the massive Grand Bazaar. Sultanahmet is the best base for sightseeing in Istanbul. Istanbul′s Atatürk International Airport (IST) is 20 km west of Sultanahmet Square or about 50 minutes in transfer time along Atatürk Havalimanı street southbound, onto Yeşilköy-Bakırköy Sahil Yolu and Kennedy street eastbound, İshak Paşa and Kabasakal streets, Yerebatan street, Çatalçeşme Sk and Ticarethane Sk to Sultanahmet. Sabiha Gokcen airport is 55 km from Sultanahmet district or about one hour and a half by a private transfer along Ankara street and highway E80, O1-O2 Çamlıca Bağlantısı, O-1, continuing along Barbaros boulevard and Meclis-i Mebusan street, onto Galata bridge and Ankara street, Cağaloğlu Ykş and Ticarethane Sk to Sultanahmet squire.
