Review Sunny Day Hotel - Sunny Beach

Comment: Just back from Bulgaria at the start of the week. We stayed at Sunny Day Hotel in Sunny Beach. The hotel was very clean and was close to the beach and shops. The staff there are very friendly. The food was not to my taste, but had started to get used to it by the end of the week.
If you go here, make sure you visit Khan's Tent for a night out. We went here and had a really good night. Nessibar is nearby which can be reached by bus or boat. We went by bus and returned by boat.
The people in Bulgaria make you feel welcome and are very friendly. The beaches are fantastic and very clean.

Comment: Just back from sunny Beach with my husband and 4 children. We had a very enjoyable time there. Stayed at the sunny day hotel, the rooms were cleaned every day, no complaints there. The food however was very bad, and my children would not eat it, we were glad we hadn't signed up for the dinner.The lady in the dining room was very grumpy in the morning and not at all approachable, perhaps her mood changed as the day wore on!!!!!!!!!
Food and drink was really cheap throughout the resort and we were able to get lunch for the 6 of us for about 22 lev (approx 11 euro). Dinner was around 50 lev and that included drinks for 6 and icecream for the kids.
Don't know if I would rush back though as the resort is too big and there is not really a lot of good shopping unless you want fake D&G and Victoria Beckham.
The majority of the Bulgarian people were very nice and friendly, (breakfast lady not in this group), although when you went into a shop they were on your back right away and followed you around until you either bought something or their stares forced you to leave empty handed.
Altogether we had a lovely time, the weather was fab and the kids had a ball, which was the most important thing.
so my hubby and I having done the family thing are hoping to have a lazy week in Corfu (Ipsos) in September. Best holiday destination ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comment: We visited Bulgaria for the first time in September and had a very enjoyable holiday. The hotel is clean and comfortable and is in a good location not far from the beach and resort centre. Our only complaint was that the swimming pool was too cold to enjoy! Food and drink is very cheap although it does vary througout the resort. I would recommend the Watermill restaurant, the food and service here is excellent. We did quite a few trips, the Blue mountains and Varna are worth a visit and I would say definately Khans Tent for a good night out. We would definately go back to Suuny Beach as we had such a GREAT holiday.
