Review by: Lee Family, Sunderland Review posted: Sep, 30, 2004   Arrived at the sun palace mid afternoon and given the keys to our family room. could not have been more pleased . huge room , and very clean , only drawback was no balcony as we were above reception but the size of the room more than compensated for that . we were unsure after booking to go to sunny beach but we need not have worried. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you and the maids do a superb job as the place was spotless. the pool bar staff were brilliant and worked very hard and were fabulous with all the children. the hotel , although right in the middle of the resort was quite peaceful . the resort itself was brilliant , and we found the bulgarians to be very friendly. Review by: Wallis Manchester Review posted: Aug, 29, 2003   sunny The hotel Palace (Palas) was far better than I expected, the food was okay but there was always something to eat the hotel is absolutley spotless. However take a rubber sink plug as not a room in the hotel had a sink plug the staff were perfect always smiling and very helpful the resort of Sunny Beach has a beautiful beach as described. there is little to do in the resort apart from look round the market and shops and stroll on the prom. The town in Nesseber is a must, loads of shops quite scenic and very very cheap. DO NOT GO TO BOURGES it is a dump full of beggers communist tower block flats and taxi drivers that could worry a statue I was advised not to go before I went to Bulgaria and did not listern BOURGES really is the pits. A pint of really good lager in the Palace costs 1 lev 50 (60p), the hotel and the resort are excellent value but I felt a week was enough but I will return in the future.
