Comment: A wonderful 5 star hotel, clean & spacious, with excellent food in
the resturaunt,20 yards from the beach and 2 swimming pools (but the sea is
better) plenty of bars and eating places and the very noisy party street just
up the road for those who like to club-it, can't wait to go back

Comment: We visited the Admiral in July 2005. On arrival I was very pleased
with what I was presented with. The hotel is located centrally in the
resort and a stones throw from the beach. The entrance created the exact
first impression I was looking for – clean, modern, spacious and welcoming.
Our room was located on the 7th floor with 2 of us sharing, This required
us to book a standard room, which was more than adequate. Among the many
features, we had a huge bed and marble bathroom. Out on the balcony there
are padded seats and a huge table. We did not have a sea view, as we were
located at the front of the hotel although our balcony caught the evening
sun and we could watch the sunset. At the rear of the hotel, overlooking
the beach, it becomes very loud in the evening from the poolside bars and
discos. The restaurant serves an excellent varied breakfast and dinner
selection to suit every ones pallet with an exceptional childrens buffet.
There is a fabulous cafй situated on the ground floor which serves
scrumptious cakes and desserts if you hadn’t already filled up on desserts
in the restaurant! The outdoor pool is large although there are limited
sunbeds available. When returning from a late night back to the hotel, I
witnessed guests going to the pool to reserve their sunbeds with their
towels at 3am. Subsequently, when trying to locate a sunbed early morning
it was virtually impossible. Luckily there is a private pool directly next
to the hotel’s pool, which in my opinion is safer, cleaner and more
secluded. There is a small charge to pay but it meant we were virtually
guaranteed a sunbed everyday. There is also a small charge to pay at the
beach for a sunbed and parasol. Staff in the hotel and resort are extremely
friendly and prepared to go that extra mile. The weather during our stay
was around 30 degrees each day although for 2 days there were horrific
storms and flooding in the streets. Also be aware that the end of July is
cockroach season. The hotel its self was not affected although there were
many to be seen in the cafйs, restaurants and bars. The nightlife is there
if you want it be quiet enough to avoid should you want too. There is an
area called Party Street which I wouldn’t recommend as we experienced many
prostitutes, beggars and thieves in that area. During our stay, we did not
experience that near the hotel or other areas of the resort. I would
definitely return to Bulgaria although I would make my journey prior to
them changing to the EURO as prices are set to sore.

Comment: We have just returned after a week in Golden Sands and hotel
Admiral. The hotel has the best lovcation of all hotels in Golden Sands and
the beach is just across the street. Unofortunately, there is not enough
sunbeds for the hotel guests by the pool, so you have to be and early riser
and put your towel on the bed before 6 am if you want to avoid to have to
pay 24 levs for an umbrella and two sunbeds on the beach. The prices in
Golden Sands are low, but the prices in Varna (17 k`s away) are much lower.
So if your intention is to purchase fake products ( T-shirts, designer
bags, watches aso), the taxi trip (apporox 15 levs) or a bus ride (1,5 levs)
is worth it. We have already decided to go back to Golden Sands next year.
The visit was a pleasure.

Comment: I went to hotel Admiral in Golden sands on July 15,2004 the
weather was great great night life the hotel was very clean it was just
built the resort was clean too but if your going to golden sands go to a new
hotel because old hotels don't meet the western standard. Golden sand was
great I love it their I am going their again next year. If your going with
children between the age of 11-16 or you like water rids you must go to the
water park (sorry I forgot the name of it) it was some great water rids. ------------------

Comment: Been to Bulgaria 4 Times but 1st time to Golden Sands we were booked into the Kempinski Grand hotel but found out it was not finished so changed to the 5
star Admiral, pleased that we did hotel in a central location with the beach
and pool just across the road its advisable to get a pool sunbed latest 7-30
as they are free and go quick. Hotel is lovely great rooms and food quite
good and hot for a Bulgarian hotel but is repetitive. Loads of nice
restaurants and bars near by would recommend the Scandinavian Steak House
just outside and also Sinbeds for a night out. Also loads of shops for cheap
bargains. But be warned at approx 2pm it can rain solid for 4 hours at its
worst so take a brolly but when its hot its HOT. Also by the way ignore the
brochure picture its not green it looks a lot better.
To sum up lovely hotel, hot food, nice resort very cheap.
