It is so easy to start and addict to paragliding but in order to enjoy
it long years you should understand it more.
The main purpose of our intermediate course is to
prepare the beginner and inexperienced pilots for independent and safe
discovery of new horizons in paragliding. It is also useful for filling
up the post beginner's gap of irregular flying due to lack of good
weather or free time.
Before starting the course you will make a demo flight to direct us
for your previous experience and where to focus on your further
training. Depending on weather and your previous knowledge and skills in
most cases you should expect the following training program:
Day 1: Active and safe flying: 2-4 solo flights from the high
mountain. Practicing 360° and S-turns. Post flight analyses.
Day 2: 2-4 solo flights from the high mountain. Performing "Small
Ears" and "Big Ears". Landing on smaller alternative landing places.
Day 3: Collapses: 2-4 solo flights from the high mountain.
Simulating asymmetric and front collapses in the air. Developing skills
of active flying in turbulent conditions.
Day 4: Basic acrobatics: wingovers and spirals. 2-4 flights from
the high mountain. Aerodynamics and Dynamics of flight.
Day 5: Soaring: 2-4 long flights of thermal or ridge soaring (depends
on conditions and may involve flying new sites). Assessing unknown
flying sites and conditions. Theory of soaring flights, micrometeorology
and terrain features.
Day 6: Soaring: 2-4 long flights of thermal or ridge soaring (depends
on conditions and may involve flying new sites). Thermalling
technique, XC theory, micro and macro meteorology and weather forecasts.
After the completion of the course you can fly independently from
different flying sites and conditions but it's always better to look for
advice from local and experienced pilots (they probably won't refuse
buying them a beer in the pub in the evening or offering them a
transport to the flying site :-)
Course Price: 440 Euro
