BLAGOEVGRAD - Bulgaria » Administrative, cultural and transport capital of the Pirin region, Blagoevgrad is situated at the foot of the southwestern slopes of Rila mountain, on the banks of river Blagoevgradska Bistritsa, 101 km south of Sofia.
